Eyam Museum

The village museum tells the story of the famous outbreak of Bubonic Plague in 1665-1666, when a third of the village population died. Displays also explore how the village recovered, with silk, cotton, agriculture, shoes, lead and fluorspar mining and quarrying playing a part in Eyam’s subsequent history.
